Accommodation and Comforts
In keeping with the history of the house, the four main guest rooms are named after the sons of the
Rietsch family (the family of stone masons that originally constructed the
building): Charles, Louis, Sebastian and Joseph. All rooms have en suite bathrooms, and are equipped as follows
(click on the room name to go to the corresponding page):
The Louis Room has a queen-size bed and working gas fireplace,
as well as antique furnishings The
Sebastian Room comes complete with a
restored antique full-size bed, working gas fireplace, and French doors open on a sitting room (complete with desk) The
Joseph Room is furnished with an antique full-size
brass bed and a full view of the creek that passes under the house The Charles Room offers two antique twin beds and a great view of the creek Furnishings: The owners have decorated the house and guest rooms in American and English antiques; in
addition, they have added a large part of their collection of Persian and Tribal
carpets to the house. Their travels throughout Europe and the Middle East
have allowed them to amass an interesting collection of carpets, furniture and
collectible treasures for display at the B&B. We accommodate up to two guests per room for the maximum comfort of all our guests; children are welcome, and we have baby and toddler beds if required (please let us know when you make your reservation). All of the guest rooms have zone-controlled air conditioning, allowing for personal control in each room; for business travelers, we also offer high-speed wireless internet access throughout the house,
as well as toll-free calling. We provide all the usual guest conveniences (towels, toiletries, etc.) in addition to alarm clocks, hair dryers, extra pillows, iron and ironing board, tour books, and maps; we are here to make your visit as comfortable as possible. Guests are welcomed to relax in the back patio; as our establishment is non-smoking, the brick patio is a great area for an outside break. We offer on- and off-street parking: there are several spaces at the front of
the house, as well as a 5-car parking lot directly adjacent to the B&B. Our breakfast is a generous full breakfast and is served in the dining room. The usual fare includes
a hot meal such as our special recipe French Toast or Pancakes, any manner of
eggs, crepes, and local specialties (such as locally produced ham and sausage), seasonal fresh fruit and berries, home-made yogurt, English muffins, croissants, whole grain toast, assorted jams, assorted dry and hot cereals, juice, coffee, and tea.
We accommodate special requests, and can adjust timings to suit if arranged the
night before.
